Energy has been a huge topic of interest for many years. While the major sources of energy in the US are coal, oil, and gas, renewable sources have been rising in usage. Hydroelectric power is probably the most widely used, but solar and wind power are rising as technology improves and costs are reduced.

What sources of energy are in your life? I, like most Americans, put regular gas in my car, heat my house with natural gas, and don't know what percentages of each energy source are used by my local power utility. This is something I want to learn more about.
